Abstract
The author has observed 153 cases of urinary tract calculi, 1.86 per cent of all ambulatory patients seen during the period from April 1954 to September 1958.
1. Investigation was based on 12 renal, 57 ureteral, 62 vesical and 22 urethral calculi.

2. Incidence of the upper urinary tract calculi seemed to increase significantly while that of the lower tract did not.

3. The middle age group, 20 to 50 years of age, showed s highest peak in occurrence of the upper urinary tract calculi. The lower urinary tract calculi were seen in the older and younger groups more frequently than the middle age group.

4. Calculi were predominantly commoner in males than in females (8 to 1).

5. Approximately ten per cent of the upper urinary tract calculi were found to be bilateraland the right and left lateralization in the remainder were almost equal.

6. Ureteral calculi shown on x-ray films appeared a trifle smaller than real sizes especially in transverse diameters, but not very significant.

7. Choice of treatment for urinary calculi was spontaneous expulsion, and, or combined instrumental manipulation. Surgical intervention was the final procedure to consider if conditions allow.
